Setting Myself a Challange

For those of you reading this, I have decided to start blogging about the Australian search landscape. Why? I think a lot of attention is placed on overseas engines and other players in the market can be overlooked. It seems the whole industry is Google mad at the moment, so I thought I would talk about how search is applied in Australia. Also, I couldn’t really find anyone else talking specifically about search in Australia on a regular basis, so I thought I would start and see if I can build a bit of a community.
So I have decided to set myself a little challenge. For the next two weeks I will be using only Australian Search Engines. Every two days I will move onto a different Australian search engine and post my findings.
Whilst I appreciate the relevancy and amazing capabilities of overseas engines, I think we have a lot of talent here in
Australia and I would like to explore what Aussie search engines can do.
It will be an interesting experiment to see how the Aussie engines hold up against our overseas counterparts.
